Farewell to John Mallon

John Mallon

The Bailey Lab wishes John Mallon luck as he leaves our lab to start a postdoctoral fellowship in Alexandre Bisson’s lab at Brandeis University.

John is interested in how organisms distinguish self from non-self, and in the Bailey Lab, John looked at CRISPR-Cas system biology to explore how this occurs at the level of proteins and nucleic acids. Stay tuned for two upcoming papers that describe what John discovered.

John’s thesis was titled “Self/non-self discrimination and interference activation in a I-B CRISPR-Cas system.”

Good luck at Brandeis, John!
